A few weeks ago, Ivi was one of four 5th grade students at her school who was invited to the District Science Fair, & lol & behold....she took 1st place among 12 kids in her category. Of course....we were estatic. We're so proud of her. Here she is with one of her friends -Yen Wen, who's such a little doll & who also placed 1st in her category. Two years ago, when Ivi was in 3rd grade, we also helped her on her project dealing with the "porosity of rocks" & she had taken 2nd place then. So this time, you could tell she was pretty surprised, but very excited. Up next: County Science Fair. Yippee! Her project by the way was titled: The Taste of Caffeine, can you really tell the difference? We celebrated afterwards with a group of friends at our favorite pizza place "JoJo's". Yumm!
