Here's the front of the card that my hubby gave me for our anniversary. He surprised me with this along with a beautiful ladybug from Swaravski crystals. No fancy plans, just a quiet dinner at home. We originally had dinner plans to host our monthly meeting with our [marriage support group], but I've been feeling pretty run down from a sore throat and an annoying cough that we decided to cancel. Because of the world-wide concern lately over the Swine Flu, I didn't want to make anybody nervous with my current germy status. Our marriage support group by the way, is composed of 5 amazing couples, all of us married anywhere between 10 and 37 years. With the exception of one of the couples who just recently joined us, we've all been meeting quite loyally once per month for almost 3 years for an evening of some good ol' home cooking, sharing, bonding, and learning through a very structured format dealing with important marital topics. We all share a special bond with each other, and we all share the same goal which is to want to stay happily married. We always look forward to our monthly gatherings. Our group is so much fun and very therapeutic. We are very blessed to have them in our lives.
-So a very Happy Wedding Anniversary to Us!, if I may say so myself..... hoping we can share many many more. We definitely have our challenges, and this adoption process plus extended wait can certainly add to our stresses. And we also realize that parenting will come with a whole new set. But what can we say......other than it will all be worth it.
